Amalfi Coast. A day or two on the coast road calls for a car that handles narrow bends and tight parking with confidence. Guests typically collect early to clear the coastal traffic before midday and return the vehicle with a full tank, as agreed at pickup.
Tuscany Hill Towns. Val d'Orcia and the Chianti hills suit a car with real range and comfort over motorway stretches. Many clients take a Bentley or Mercedes S-Class for this leg, saving the sports models for shorter runs around Rome itself.
Umbria. Orvieto and Assisi sit far enough from Rome that a mid-morning departure works better than a rushed start. Regional roads here are wider than the coast route, which makes the drive comfortable in almost any car in the fleet.
Castelli Romani Wine Villages. Frascati and Castel Gandolfo are close enough for a half-day out and back, popular with guests wanting a short drive without committing a full rental day to it. Parking in the village centres is limited, so an early arrival helps.
Historic Centre and Airport Handover. ZTL restrictions across much of central Rome make hotel or airport handover the more practical choice for self-drive guests, avoiding restricted-zone entry altogether. Vehicles can be collected or returned near Fiumicino or at a hotel outside the controlled zone.
